WHO AM I
Hi! I’m Luem, a 24-year-old pixel artist based in Argentina. With 4 years of freelance experience since June 2022 and nearly 100 successfully completed commissions, I am looking to take the next step in my career: joining a game studio to dedicate myself fully to a long-term project.
My passion for pixel art sparked during childhood vacations, spending all my coins on arcade machines playing Metal Slug with my brother and cousin. While I specialize in character design, animation, and highly detailed world building, I am a highly versatile artist. I have hands on experience handling all aspects of 2D game Pixel art production, adapting to whatever the project needs, as reflected throughout my portfolio.
In my free time, I participate in Game Jams and develop indie games with friends at our hobby studio, I Don’t Know Games.
WHAT I DO
Pixel Art Generalist: Characters, environments, UI, props, and animations.
Logo Design: Both Pixel Art and Vector, using Inkscape.
3D Low Poly: Occasional pixel art textures and modeling in picoCAD.
Beyond creating art, I have worked as a solo, lead artist, and art director. I’ve successfully managed teams to develop playable demos and revive abandoned projects.
CURRENT POSITION
Freelance Pixel Artist actively seeking a role in a video game studio. Co-founder and Artist at I Don’t Know Games. Frequent Game Jam participant.
CLIENTS:
Over 4 years working on Fiverr (80+ orders) and recently expanding to VGen (6 orders in my first two months on the platform).
TOOLS & HARDWARE
Aseprite is my primary tool for 2D pixel art. I also use picoCAD for 3D experimentation and Inkscape for vector logo design.
My current setup: Ryzen 5 7600x | Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB | 16 GB RAM | 500 GB SSD M.2 + 150 GB SSD.
NO AI
All of my work is 100% human-made. I believe Artificial Intelligence can be a useful tool in some industries, but it cannot replace the craft, intent, and soul an artist brings to the work with their own hands or in my case, a mouse and keyboard.
